Want to switch things up a little bit and take the family on an outing? We’ve rounded up five places that are fun for the whole family (including the parents) - all of which are indoors because it’s getting a little colder, so you won’t have to worry about bundling the kids up too much.
1. Visit TELUS Spark

Looking for something fun and educational to do with the little ones? Well, the TELUS Spark science centre is a great place to visit. They offer various interactive activities that will ignite the imagination - even in yourself! Or you can leave the kiddies at home and check out Fiver Fridays; an adults-only night where everything is $5, including drinks - thank us later!
2. Check out the National Music Centre at Studio Bell

Canada is home to some great musical artists - Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, The Tragically Hip and many many more. What better way to celebrate some of Canada’s best musicians than to check out the National Music Centre of Canada? They have several exhibitions, including the Canadian Music Halls of Fame. Plus, you get to check out the architectural masterpiece that is Studio Bell - make sure to grab a couple shots of the family for Instagram!
3. Embrace Your Inner Child at the Flying Squirrel

Feeling a little nostalgic? Embrace your inner-child and check out the Flying Squirrel - an indoor trampoline park. Relive your childhood of jumping on the trampoline in the backyard and make some memories with the kiddos. The kids will love it and it will definitely burn off that extra energy!

Check out Calgary’s OG escape room - the Locked Room. There are three locations in Calgary and 12 different escape rooms to choose from. With anything from Prison Break to The Great Train Heist - there’s something for everyone. Put your heads together and test your skills so you can escape!
5. Play Some Arcade Games at The Rec Room

Remember that feeling of nostalgia mentioned earlier? Well here’s another opportunity - arcade games! Who doesn’t Mario Cart or Dance Dance Revolution?! Aside from the arcade games, the Rec Room has food, drinks, billiards and more, so there’s something for everyone.
