Halloween might look a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t gather the kids up for some spooky fun! There are many different events going on this year where you can practice social distancing and get into the Halloween spirit! Here are a few that are sure to scare your boots off!

1. Screamfest

Ah, a Calgary classic. Screamfest is making a comeback this year and it’ll be held at the Big Four at the Stampede Park. They’ll have some scary haunted houses, a nightmare market and carnival games - You Will Scream so be prepared for some scary fun!

2. Haunted Calgary Drive-In

Haunted Calgary is bringing you a haunted house from the safety of your own car - but be warned, your car won’t protect you from the terror! They’re offering three different experiences, one of which is family-friendly and probably a little less scary for the little ones. 

3. Grim Mini-Golf

If you’re looking for a more family-friendly, less scary activity to do with the kids, why not play a round of mini-golf at Winsport? They’re making it spooky and Halloween themed, so it’s a fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween with the kids!

4. Field of Screams

Cobb’s Adventure Park is hosting Field of Screams this year; an outdoor Halloween themed event. It’s perfect for all ages with many different spooky activities! There will be haunted houses, Halloween activities and food. Make sure to pre-purchase tickets on their website because this one sells out!

5. Ghoul’s Night Out

Ghoul’s Night Out is returning to Heritage Park this year for four nights only! It’s an excellent event for families with little ones who are looking for a safe and spooky way to celebrate and get into the Halloween spirit! There will be shows, games and activities! And bonus* if you go on Saturday, October 31st, admission includes trick-or-treating at some of the historical buildings in the park!

No matter what level of scare you’re looking to get, there’s some great events coming to Calgary this year. All of them will take COVID precautions so you can ensure your family is safe while celebrating the spooky holiday of Halloween!
